Leo Messi Heads Lionel Scaloni’s List Of Players
The Argentina national team has announced its squad for the next three qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
After winning the Copa America and breaking a decades-long title drought, the Argentine national team now faces three important qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia will be the ‘Albiceleste’s opponents in the international window at the beginning of September. For these three matches, the Argentina squad announced its list of called-up players on Monday 23th August.
It is headed by Leo Messi, who will be called up to the national team for the first time as a player of Paris Saint-Germain, the club that acquired his services after the player was unable to renew his contract with Barcelona.
The ’10’ will be Argentina’s star player once again and it could be curious that he will make his debut in this campaign earlier with his country than with the Parisian team, although he could have minutes in the next match against Reims on 29th August.
Alongside Messi, national team coach Lionel Scaloni is also taking all the available stars, with players such as Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala as the PSG star’s main support.
