Odion Jude Ighalo professionally known as Odion Ighalo is a professional Nigerian footballer born on the 16th of June 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria. He currently plays as a Striker for the internationally known English club, Manchester United, though he is on a loan from the Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of the Chinese Superleague.
He started his football career playing at some Nigerian football clubs Prime and Julius Berger respectively in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, he moved to a Norwegian football club called Lyn, and in 2014 he signed up for a championship club called Watford and in 2014-2015 and was promoted to the Premier League ranks. In January 2017, Odion Ighalo joined the Chinese Superleague for 20 million pounds, before he moved to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and in January 2020, he returned to the Premier League, on loan with Manchester United till the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Odion Ighalo in 2018 represented Nigeria at the 2018 World cup, and he was the footballer with the highest goals in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, where he led Nigeria to the 3rd place position.
Odion Ighalo was discovered by a FIFA agent called Marcelo Housemann and was recommended to Atta Aneke, and he joined the Norwegian club in 2007.
