Jamb Releases Result Of 2022 Utme
THE Joint Administrations and Matriculation Board, JAMB,has released result of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
The board in a statement, Saturday,directed candidates who sat for the examination to check their results by texting “Send UTMERESULT” ( one word) using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration to 55019 and the result would be returned as a text message.
Three Killed As Shop Collapses In Ebonyi Market
Three persons died while two others were injured when the roof of an open market stall in a market in Ebonyi caved in on Friday evening.

Ecwa Reacts To Lynching Of Deborah, Seeks Justice
The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), has condemned the murder of Miss Deborah Yakubu, a 200-level student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto by a mob.

Rev. Stephen Baba-Panya, the President of ECWA, made the condemnation in a statement on Saturday in Jos.
Baba-Panya, who described the ugly incident as sheer criminality, called on the Sokoto State Government to arrest the perpetrators, adding they should be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The President also called on the Federal Government to direct security agencies to ensure that no stone is left unturned towards bringing the culprits to book.
Gov Tambuwal Declares 24-hr Curfew In Sokoto
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, on Saturday afternoon, declared a 24-hour curfew in Sokoto metropolis after protest had rocked the city.

According to a post on the verified Facebook page of the Sokoto State governor, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Muhammad Bello, said the decision was “in pursuance of peace and order in Sokoto metropolis and the entire state.”
LEADERHSHIP earlier reported how palpable fear enveloped Sokoto metropolis on Saturday as protesters in their hundreds trooped into streets to express their displeasure over the detention of two suspects arrested by the Police over the killing of Deborah Yakubu, a 200-level Home Economics student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, over alleged blasphemy.
Major streets such as Ahmadu Bello Way, Kano Road, where banks are located and Emir Yahaya Road, in the early hours of the day, were deserted with business places and shops closed.
